Crystal Benton Burnett serves as Senior Vice President of Communications at Govini, where she oversees external and internal communications strategy and execution. She has built her career helping companies and candidates navigate global dynamics around finance, politics, critical issues and media. Prior to Govini, she led the communications group at Purple Strategies, a strategic advisory firm focused on reputation, issues management and advocacy and served as an Adjunct Professor of Crisis Communication at The George Washington University. She previously held leadership roles at Weber Shandwick where her work spanned corporate, financial, defense and public affairs clients. Crystal began her career in politics and public service, holding senior communications roles with Senator John McCain and his 2008 presidential campaign, as well as at national security-focused organizations in Washington, D.C.
