Ben Nicholson started as Ursa Major’s CGO in August of 2024. He has workedin Washington D.C. since 2000 and has extensive experience in U.S.Government operations, programs, and contracting. He specializes in thefederal appropriations process for national defense, aerospace, security, andintelligence programs. Ben has served 22 years in the Executive and LegislativeBranches of the U.S. Government. He holds a B.S. in Naval Architecture andMarine Engineering from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and Master of Sciencedegrees in Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering and Resource Policy &Behavior from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor. Ben is also a boardmember for the Government Affairs Institute at Georgetown University.
