The Federal Scorecard is an annual publication based on data-driven analysis that objectively measures how the National Security Enterprise is investing its resources, and if that investment furthers its mission as detailed by the National Defense Strategy.
The 2020 Govini Federal Scorecard incorporates new data sets and pioneering novel metrics. It taxonomizes the National Defense Strategy’s Modernization Priorities to examine budget and spending patterns, as well as academic research and grants to examine the level of innovation supporting each priority area.
This year’s Scorecard is designed to be a window into the work being done to maintain U.S. competitive advantage, and a document essential to informing the strategy and planning process.
