David K. Rensin is Engineering Director in Google’s much-vaunted Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) organization, where he founded and leads the Customer Reliability Engineering global team. He has more than 25 years experience designing and delivering web-scale cloud and mobile products. Rensin was previously the Senior Vice President at technology startup Novitas Group, and Principal Solutions Architect at Amazon Web Services. As the founding CEO and Chief Scientist at Reality Mobile, Rensin was the recipient of several prominent industry awards. He has authored three best-selling technology books and is also the principal inventor on 16 granted U.S. patents. As an entrepreneur, Rensin co-founded and sold several businesses including one for more than $1 billion – and has served as an officer in two publicly traded companies.
